French authorities have questioned and arrested a 29-year-old in the Paris region in connection to the 13 November terrorist attacks that killed 130 people.

France has also charged two people with aiding Abdelhamid Abaaoud, the orchestrator of the attacks. Eight people are in custody in Belgium.

Reports of the latest police operation, which appeared on France's iTele who cited an anonymous source, came after two people were taken into custody as part of a separate investigation into the previous Paris attacks in January.

One of the two, named as 52-year-old Claude Hermant, was already being held over a probe into arms trafficking. He is believed to have links to the extreme right in northern France.

Hermant and his partner are being questioned over arms uncovered in an arsenal belonging to Amedy Coulibaly, who shot dead four people during a siege at the Hypercacher supermarket in eastern Paris before being killed by police.

Coulibaly coordinated his attacks with that of Cherif and Said Kouachi, the two brothers who killed 12 people in a deadly raid on the Paris headquarters of Charlie Hebdo satirical magazine in January.
