Kate Middleton Radiant in Royal Blue at School Opening

After borrowing the Queen's diamonds at the National Portrait Gallery earlier this week, the Duchess of Cambridge opted for the high street at the opening of a new school today.

Kate wore a kingfisher blue Detroit Dress from LK Bennett as she opened The ICAP Art Room at Northolt High School in west London. She teamed the £225 dress with black suede heels and a black clutch.

The Duchess is Royal Patron of The Art Room charity, which helps struggling students through art. After attending the school assembly, she took part in an art therapy lesson.

She left the school clutching a bright bunch of flowers, presented to her by Atoria Mason, 13, and Tim Garner, 14.

While the Duchess was at the school on Valentine's Day, her husband was helping the flood relief effort in her home county of Berkshire. Prince William and Harry were filmed moving sandbags in Datchet.
